May is Foster Care Awareness Month

Fact:  27% of all homeless people were in foster care

Fact:  54% of former foster youth suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. That’s twice the rate of PTSD in U.S. war veterans

Treehouse programs work to combat these shocking statistics by helping kids learn, fulfilling material needs, and giving them a real childhood as well as hope for the future.
